Zimbabwe set to take on Sri Lanka in three ODIs and three T20Is | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The schedule for Zimbabwe’s tour of Sri Lanka was unveiled on Tuesday, featuring two white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is, slated for early next year.
As per the ICC‘s announcement, the Zimbabwe team is set to arrive in Sri Lanka on January 3 for the white-ball series. The action will commence with a three-match ODI series starting on January 6, followed by a three-game T20I series scheduled from January 14 to 18.

This tour marks Zimbabwe’s first bilateral visit to the island nation since 2022.The visiting team has demonstrated a commendable brand of cricket and form against the Lions in recent years, notably securing a remarkable 3-2 ODI series win during their 2017 tour of Sri Lanka.
While Sri Lanka had a disappointing outing in the ODI World Cup, failing to qualify for the knockout stage and finishing second-to-last, they aim for a resurgence in the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024.
Zimbabwe, too, faced challenges, missing out on qualification for both the ODI World Cup and the subsequent T20 World Cup.
All matches in the series are scheduled to be played at RPICS Colombo.
