Watch: Rahul Dravid consoles heartbroken Virat Kohli after another cheap dismissal | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli‘s run of low scores at the T20 World Cup continued on Thursday as the star India batter fell for a lowly 9-ball 9 in the second semi-final against defending champions England in Guyana.
As Kohli unsuccessfully tried to smack left-arm paceman Reece Topley on the on-side, he got knocked over, leaving India hurt early at 19 for 1 in the third over.
It was Kohli’s fifth single-digit score at this year’s cricketing extravaganza as he now has just 75 runs in seven innings at an average of 10.71.
A seemingly disappointed Kohli, who was sitting in the dugout after his dismissal, had a visit from head coach Rahul Dravid. The coach was seen consoling Kohli with a pat on his leg in the dressing room .

Earlier, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to field first against unbeaten India in the semis.
The toss was delayed by 80 minutes because of heavy early morning rain that left the outfield wet.
Rain returned again after just 8 overs into India innings with Rohit Sharma (37*) and Suryakumar Yadav (13*) taking the side to 65 for two.
Apart from Kohli, India also lost Rishabh Pant for for 4 before rain interrupted play.
