NEW DELHI: Veteran Amit Mishra defied age and gravity to grab an absolute stunner in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Lucknow on Friday.
The 40-year-old leg-spinner stunned everyone on the field, including the batter Rahul Tripathi (35) with his unexpected and brilliant effort.
The incident took place in the 18th over when seamer Yash Thakur digged in a slower bouncer outside off. Rahul tried to play the ramp shot but the lack of pace on the ball didn’t allow him to time it successfully. As the ball ballooned in the air, Mishra, stationed at short third-man moved to his left and then produced a full-stretched dive, catching the ball mid-air. He then landed safely to complete the terrific effort.
