# Virat Kohli (8555 at 48.88 in 110 Tests) needs just 32 runs to overtake Virender Sehwag‘s tally of 8586 runs at an average of 49.34 in 104 Tests.Just five Indian batters have amassed more runs than Kohli – Sachin Tendulkar (15921), Rahul Dravid (13288) & Sunil Gavaskar (10122) & VVS Laxman (8781) and Sehwag.# When Virat Kohli steps out on the field for the second Test vs the West Indies on Thursday he would have appeared in his 500th international match. The other Indians in this elite list are – Sachin Tendulkar (664 international matches), MS Dhoni (538 international matches) and Rahul Dravid (509 international matches).
# Kohli (898 at 44.90 in 15 Tests) requires just 102 runs to become the eleventh Indian player to complete 1,000 runs or more vs West Indies in Tests. The record is held by Sunil Gavaskar, who managed 2749 runs at an average of 65.45 in 27 Tests – the most by any batter vs West Indies.

# Ravichandran Ashwin (72 wickets at 20.02 runs apiece in 12 Tests) needs just three wickets to become the second Indian bowler to complete 75 wickets or more vs the West Indies. At present the top Indian wicket-takers against the Windies are Kapil Dev – 89 at 24.89 in 25 Tests and Anil Kumble – 74 at 29.78 in 17 Tests.
# Jermaine Blackwood (2858 runs at an average of 30.08 in 55 Tests) needs 142 runs to complete 3,000 runs in Tests.
# Jason Holder (92 wickets at 23.82 runs apiece in 32 Tests) requires just eight wickets to complete 100 wickets in the Caribbean.
# Shubman Gill (927 at 31.96 in 17 Tests) needs 73 runs to complete 1,000 runs in Tests.
