The Biggest Cliffhangers of The Season: The Hills

As MTV renewed and aired the Season 2 of The Hills: New Beginnings, the audience has been left with some biggest unanswered questions. While the wait for season 3 continues, let us try and answer some unanswered questions and work out some fan theories.

Reality programmes are rarely that simple, despite the Season 2 finale of “The Hills: New Beginnings” depicting the troubled friends reconciling. The focus of the cast’s wellness retreat was to expunge bad energy through New Age techniques and a tonne of Pratt Daddy Crystals. However, even a supervised plate-smashing session couldn’t close up old wounds.

The show follows a group of Los Angeles-based friends as they reunite and deal with the challenges of maturity, such as divorce and unexpected pregnancies. The programme is a remake of “The Hills,” which was a spinoff of “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” which was in turn a reaction to “The O.C.” Several of the original “The Hills” cast members, including Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, and Brody Jenner.

Although a lot has changed for the gang, including larger stakes and new connections, the same old turmoil still surrounds them. The cast members share what they’ve learned over the past year as well as their hopes for the future as the season comes to a close. But not every plot point was resolved.

What mysteries did Season 2 of “The Hills: New Beginnings” leave unsolved?

What’s up with Brody and Audrina?

The sizzling chemistry between the two is no longer a mystery. Many incidents have assured the viewers of the kindling spark between the two. Brody Jenner and Audrina Patridge have been upfront about their feelings for one another since Season 5 of the original series. With the two reigniting their former flame, this is a pivotal plot point in both Season 1 and Season 2 of “The Hills: New Beginnings.”

They are both unmarried and ready for love by the end of Season 2. The two cuddle and share their emotions as they leave the all-white celebration (white sequins do count, by the way). Brody confesses that he’s been drawn to her ever since and heaps praise on her.

Audrina acknowledges that she needs to put her daughter first but is reluctant to open the door to anyone. She informs him, “Brody, timing is everything. “Let’s see,”

They eventually hug it out and whisper “I Love You” to each other. But are the two willing to give a shot at love at the cost of their friendship? How will Brody react to the news of his ex’s Kaitlynn Carter’s Pregnancy news? A lot of aspects to be explored before one can reach a final answer.

Did Speidi and the Wahlers make up?

The most dramatic episode of Season 2 involved an altercation between Speidi, Ashley, and Jason Wahler that took place during the group’s winter retreat in Lake Tahoe. During a murder-mystery dinner party, tensions erupted when Heidi and Ashley started acting passive-aggressively.

The two couples discussed their issues in front of the gathering before their husbands intervened. While the Wahlers were aware of what the Pratts were saying behind their backs, Speidi felt as though they were being assaulted for wanting to party and have fun. When Spencer made derogatory remarks regarding Jason’s sobriety, the group as a whole was separated.

On the other hand, the couples reconcile during their final dinner party at Speidi’s meditation retreat. All dressed in white to “drive positive healing energy to the group,” they have a conversation and decide to cease holding grudges against one another. Spencer apologises to Jason for the sobriety remarks, and Heidi acknowledges that she is sensitive to Ashley’s pregnancy since she is yearning to have another child.

Season 2 is full of excuses, but as the original it-girl of the programme, Lauren Conrad, famously declared, “I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you.” This sentiment seems to still be valid. Given how loud Speidi has been, the apology was probably manufactured for the season finale to fit the upbeat atmosphere of the lavish poolside farewell party.

What’s Next: Renewal of 3rd season?

The most pressing question is probably whether Season 3 of “The Hills: New Beginnings” will air. Although MTV has not yet decided whether to continue the series, it is difficult to conceive that it won’t finish with even a wink at the viewers who were curious about how much of the show was true after watching the two amusing “The Hills” series finales. Maybe LC will come back and claim it’s hard to leave again.

While the cast splashing around in the pool would be a cute way to wrap things up, it doesn’t exactly fit the show’s style. Also, cast members have speculated in interviews about what a future season would look like, so it’s probably a question of time.

Just before the season finale aired, Heidi did tweet, “Tune in tonight, might be the last episode ever.” A second season, though, might still be in the works if it’s true that “before another chapter closes, there are still some pages still unwritten.”
