Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding festivities were filled with music, dance, joy and full of love. Mukesh and Nita Ambani celebrated Anant and Radhika’s special moment in an array of festivities leading up to their big day.
Post the wedding ceremony, the Mangal Utsav reception hosted for their family, friends and an array of celebrities saw guests from across the globe attend in large numbers. From blessing the couple to joining them for an evening of soul-stirring music, each festivity was a perfect blend of royalty and culture.
The festivities were further celebrated with Indian craftsmanship taking centrestage in the ensembles adorned by the Ambani family. They were designed by some of India’s best creative designers including Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Anamika Khanna, Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi among others.
On July 15, the reception saw Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant adorn regal ensembles designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Anamika Khanna respectively. Anant wore a navy Sherwani intricately handcrafted with multicolour resham and zardozi hand-embroidery. The back of the garment depicted the couple with bird motifs in a stunning visual hand-woven by threads. The embroidery’s earthy resham tones were infused with the glitter of gold Zardozi. Thus, creating a masterpiece that is personal and precious all at once.
Radhika exuded grace in Anamika Khanna couture, the lavender and gold palette of the ensemble complemented Radhika’s demure personality. The traditional drape and intricate embroidery and embellishments on the outfit, made it a statement piece that resonated with the extravagant ambience at the reception.
Every ensemble adorned by the Ambani women has been a masterclass in traditional wear. Nita Mukesh Ambani, an epitome of grace and elegance, looked ethereal in a Manish Malhotra ensemble. Creating history once again with her love for Indian craftsmanship, the ensemble celebrated both traditional and Manish’s design aesthetics with elan.
Isha had a golden moment at her brother, Anant’s reception, in an enchanting lehenga with floral artwork. The intricate gold zari embroidery on the ensemble added an alluring sparkle to her overall traditional look.
Isha Ambani also adorned a divine ivory Sabyasachi 3D floral lehenga set inspired by J G Ballard’s Garden of Time, which was also the theme for this year’s MET Gala 2024, at the reception on July 14. And for the Shubh Aashirward ceremony on July 13, Isha dazzled in a pristine white silk woven brocade lehenga. The ensemble was adorned with real silver zardozi embroidery. She paired the lehenga with a woven brocade blouse and pure white silk dupatta.
Capturing tradition through alluring silhouettes, each ensemble adorned by the Ambani family has set a beautiful tone for the wedding season.
