The doctor says if supplements are taken in high dosage without proper consultation, side effects like stomach pain, stomach cramps & burning sensation, digestive issues, sudden weight gain or weight loss, vomiting, loss of appetite, feeling of nausea, diarrhea, swelling etc. is seen in people.

Several health reports and studies have revealed the potential health risks associated with wrong intake of supplements.

There is evidence on possible harmful effects of consuming vitamins and minerals in excess.
