NEW DELHI: Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday named Chris Jordan as a replacement for the injured Jofra Archer for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
“England all-rounder, Chris Jordan will join the MI squad for the rest of the season, replacing Jofra Archer, whose recovery and fitness continues to be monitored by ECB. Jofra will return home to focus on his rehabilitation,” MI said in a statement.
“Archer was a key part of our campaign in the first half of this season. We wish him the best and cannot wait to have him back with us, fitter, stronger, quicker, deadlier,” the statement said.
Jordan, who made his IPL debut in 2016, has so far played 28 IPL matches and has 27 wickets against his name.
