Dahi Puri Chaat Recipe: How To Make Dahi Puri Chaat
To begin with, we first need to prepare imli chutney and dhania chutney. For imli chutney, soak tamarind (imli) in hot water for around 15-20 mins. Transfer this to a mixer grinder to make a smooth paste. Using a strainer, strain the prepared paste nicely and remove any remaining residue.
Now, heat some oil in a pan. Add jeera, hing and tamarind paste. Add gud (jaggery) and mix well. Add sugar, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, pepper powder, salt and black salt. Mix well and allow it to cook until it thickens. For dhania chutney, add coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, ginger, hing, salt, jeera, dry mango powder, lemon juice, water and roasted gram dal in a mixer grinder. Grind well to form a smooth paste.
Take a bowl of dahi and add sugar and salt. Mix well and keep aside. In a separate bowl, add mashed potatoes, boiled moong dal, red chilli powder, salt and coriander leaves. Make sure to mix everything together. Arrange the pani puris on a plate and stuff them with the prepared aloo masala mixture. Top them with chopped onions, tomatoes, imli chutney and dhania chutney. Finally, add the dahi and sugar mix. Sprinkle red chilli powder, chaat masala, sev and coriander leaves on top.
