Adam Gilchrist (2009): 29 sixes
The Australian Southpaw was one of the most dynamic batters of his era. Along with his electric keeping skills, he was one of the biggest hitters of the ball as well. The 2009 IPL edition was an inspiring one for Gilchrist as under his leadership, his team, the now defunct Deccan Chargers won its first IPL title. In 16 matches, Gilchrist smashed 29 sixes and was the leading hitter of that season.
