Part of the commentary team at the ongoing T20 World Cup in the US and West Indies, former India batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu met ex-Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi ahead of the India vs Pakistan match in New York on Sunday and greeted him with a hug.
“Handsome Afridi! Is there a smarter man than him?” Sidhu said, asking the person capturing the moment in a video that went viral on social media.

“Paaji ke saath humne boht cricket kheli hai (I have played a lot of cricket with Sidhu),” Afridi could be heard sayin.
Sidhu went on to add a comment that put the quality of current Pakistan cricketers under the scanner.
“Tumhare paas aise bande kahan chale gaye?” the former India opener asked further, comparing the quality all-round skills Afridi had during his playing days to the current crop of players, most of who have struggled lately.

Pakistan lost a T20I to Ireland in a bilateral series just before the T20 World Cup. Things turned worse for captain Babar Azam & Co when they suffered a shock defeat in their opening match of the tournament to co-hosts USA.
Afridi, who is the father-in-law of Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, has also criticised the team for its lackluster show, even questioning the selectors for picking unfit players like Azam Khan.
